So, some of the notes from my Beta Readers are showing up in my mailbox. It is enlightening to read everyone’s opinion. I have been blessed with eight Beta’s, whose ages range from the early 20′s to mid 60′s, and it is amazing how similar their comments are.
Their hard work has already generated some great ideas for a major rewrite. One character name will change. Several chapters will become shorter. Some chapter’s point-of-view will change from third-person to first.
One Beta hinted that I should add vampires, but that’s not going to happen. The basic premise of the story will stay the same.
I did not use Beta Readers for Windfall. I wish I had because it would have been a stronger story if I had. However, when Finding Verity is done, I will write the sequel to Windfall, and Beta Readers will be used.
I will never regret using Beta Readers for Finding Verity, and I cannot thank them enough. Each will be appropriately acknowledged in the published copy of the novel!
I can’t wait until I have received all the notes from all eight Betas!
