NYC Midnight had a “Twitter Me” story contest. We were assigned a specific WORD and had to write a 140 CHARACTER story around that word. We could enter up to three stories.
The word assigned to me was PRETEND. I was able to complete the challenge and I submitted three stories. Here they are for your reading pleasure!
1. He tried to pretend nothing had changed but war had taken his legs and he could only dance in his dreams. So he slept & danced all night.
2. If she could pretend, convince the others she was sane, then she could go home. She tried her best but all she got was electroshock therapy.
3. She could pretend to love a rich man. She even married him. After she killed him, she was wealthy, but no one ever loved her again.
