Is There a “Best” Time to Write?

I’ve thought about this question a lot.  When is the best time to write?  I think there are many  variables and, for the most part, it depends on the person.

I’ve tried to write at night.   But when I write at night, the writing seems stilted.  When I write  first thing in the morning,  my writing seens more creative, less forced,  flowing better from scene to scene.

I suppose some people write better at night because they know all their obligations are behind them.  But,  I’m just too exhausted at night, my brain’s creativity has frazzled away.  Caput!

So, do I forget about writing at night?    Nope.  During the evening hours, I review scripts, do research, read reference books.

Works for me?  When is your “best” time to write?  Once you figure that out, I bet your writing will improve!
