Your Screenplay Sucks
Your Screenplay Sucks! by William M. Akers is (right now) my favorite screenwriting book.
Usually when I get a reference book, I read it from front to back, skipping parts in the middle that are of no interest to me. Not with Your Screenplay Sucks! I read this entire book, skipping no parts, and I read it twice!
The book’s got a lot of information packed between paperback covers and it’s FUN to read! I’ll post a link in case you’re interested, under “Writer’s Resources”.
If you visit the site, look for the Seven Deadly Sins of Writing… This is a free downloadable file. It doesn’t list seven deadly sins … no it lists twenty-three. You can’t go wrong! Anyway, here’s the link to Your Screenplay Sucks.
I learned a lot from this book. If you don’t want to buy it, check it out from your library. It’s worth a look-see!
p.s. I get nothing, absolutely nothing, from writing this post! I do not know the author. Take a peak at the book. I can almost guarantee you won’t regret it! A screenwriter recommended it to me. And I’m recommending it to you!
