My daily routine has been impacted by the addition of this site to my life. I suppose in a couple of months I won’t even notice the “upkeep” but right now it’s playing havoc with my brain and my schedule. There is so much to do and to learn and, in the meantime, I want to keep up with writing projects, too.
This morning I figured out how to add a completed short screenplay to this site. So, I uploaded “The Aged Mother” which won an “Honorable Mention” (May 2009) at MoviePoet.com. It was adopted from the Grimm story with the same title.
I’m currently working on an entry for MoviePoet’s October contest. The assignment for this contest is that the SP’s title must be a number. The title can also have special characters in it (+)*&) but no letters.
The first idea I had I saved and have decided to turn it into a feature. I’m letting it gel in my mind but it’s taking shape fast. Don’t ask me what it’s about because I won’t tell you. So, I’m working on the second idea. The idea is not as clear-cut but it’s taking shape.
Right now I have a feature-length screenplay “live” on two review sites. It’s title is “Dreams are Real”. You can read it at Zoetrope or TriggerStreet. I’d love to hear your comments. I’ve been working on “Dreams are Real” for almost two years. In September, 2008, it was a finalist in the Supernatural Category of the Straight Twisted Screenwriting Competition, under the title “Lucid Dreams”. I’m hoping to breath some life into it with this rewrite.
